You need to be detail-oriented with critical thinking skills that will enable you to provide our commercial clients with the best possible insurance solutions for their needs.

The Job:
Reporting to the Commercial Lines Manager, you will manage and grow an existing book of business. You’ll draw on your knowledge of commercial insurance to provide timely and expert advice to our commercial clients and contribute to our company’s overall sales projections by developing cross-selling opportunities and pursuing assigned leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and professional customer service on existing client accounts.
  • Prepare proposals, market to insurers, calculate premiums, bind coverage, and prepare documentation, based on client needs.
  • Perform risk analysis, identify potential gaps in coverage and provide clients with insurance choices.
  • Make recommendations for coverage enhancements and identify and develop cross-selling opportunities.
  • Coordinate payment/financing arrangements.
  • Prepare renewal reviews and participate in negotiations and re-marketing as required.
  • Build strong relationships with insurance providers and clients.
  • Remain up to date on product knowledge and continue self-development through industry training.
  • Participate in various related projects, as needed.

What you’ll need:

  • RIBO licensed.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial lines insurance.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to share knowledge and insight with the team.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence decisions and gain agreement and support.
  • A strong attention to detail, ability to take initiative and meet deadlines.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office.
  • A results-oriented professionalism with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience with broker management systems – bonus points if you know Applied Epic and Policy Works.

The Job:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for resolving client inquiries and problems as well as, reviewing policies and reporting claims.

Key Responsibilities:
CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Identify, address and resolve client inquiries and problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review policies and report claims.
  • Proactively communicate with clients regarding payment, gather required information, explain coverage changes and limitations.
  • Obtain underwriting approval when needed.

SALES

  • Sell policies to new and existing clients in accordance with approved processes.
  • Address all inquiries from prospective clients in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Obtain all necessary details in order to properly rate the risk.
  • Provide certificates of insurance to clients, dealers, and finance companies as requested.

PROCESSING

  • Process renewals, new business, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements in the appropriate systems in accordance with approved processes.
  • Handle incoming paperwork and client requests in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Maintain database of client information.

  • Respond to clients in a timely and professional manner

The Job:
Reporting to the Principle Broker, you’ll be responsible for heading the company’s IT team, providing recommendations and overall direction on ongoing IT solutions and resources, as well as leading the planning and implementation of IT projects including budgets and reporting.

  • Management of IT service delivery, projects, initiatives, and team activities including operational budget and reporting.
  • Operational IT policy and process recommendations, development, and implementation.
  • Management of daily IT operations including end-user support issues, remote work locations, infrastructure maintenance and security compliance.
  • Provision of high-level infrastructure architecture and expertise for new and ongoing activities.
  • Administration of IT security systems with proactive improvements to reduce risk of cyber-attacks through current and future tools.
  • Communication and collaboration with company-wide stakeholders in the planning and execution of projects.


What you’ll need:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Studies, Computer Sciences, a related program or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of IT management experience.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional for Servers, Network Certification, (ITIL Certification considered an asset).
  • Working knowledge of DevOps concepts.
  • 10+ years hands-on IT infrastructure with IT security experience.
  • Ability to support enterprise applications including Microsoft Azure, MS Office 365, computer software and peripherals.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Proven ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and work accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • French language proficiency would be a bonus.
